Vanua Levu is the second largest island in Fiji yet boasts a far smaller population for its size than Viti Levu, an abundance of coral reef and huge deep bays provide excellent spearfishing at every turn.

Jobfish, Trevallies, Dogtooth, Mackerel and Trout are some available targets.

The Yasawas is a volcanic group of islands that consists of six main islands and then other smaller islets and is found in the western region of the Fiji Islands. Easily accessible to those who fly into Nadi making this an ideal spearfishing location for those tight on time.

Reef species, Dogtooth Tuna, and Spanish Mackerel are common targets here. 

Taveuni is nicknamed the ‘Garden Isle’ with Bouma National Heritage Park making up more than a third of the island, Taveuni allows you great access to the somosomo strait on its northern shore and an extensive marine park at Waitabu.

Viti Levu is the largest island of Fiji. It is home to the capital city of Suva, as well as the largest population of Fijian people. It also features the International Airport near Nadi so for most it is the island where you will first arrive.

There are plenty of spearfishing options from Viti Levu.

Kadavu is the fourth largest island in Fiji there are numerous spearfishing spots within the Kadavu island group including the world-renowned Great Astrolabe Reef.

The forth largest barrier reef in the world offers fantastic spearfishing on the inner and outter reefs for Mackerel to Marlin, Wahoo and Sailfish
