The footage was shot mainly in Sydney and the Central Coast. It features spearfishing from the spring. I am gutted I lost a bunch of footage including a few more blue Morwong, some decent bream and my first monster flathead, due to a corrupt sd card.
I’ve been working solid and my days off seem to have been plagued with storms and poor conditions, so hopefully the summer will clear up and I can get some good diving in again. Absolutely gutted I got the bounce shot on the Kingie. But I am 110% sure with my new Aimrite Roller I will be able to bag a Sydney King before the season is over. I’m absolutely chuffed to be rid of my Omer Carbon Roller worst gun I’ve used in my 10 years of diving. Constant trigger mech failure, rubbers shooting off the gun to name a few of the issues.
All fish were of legal size and were speared for consumption, I have a NSW Fishing Licence and abide by catch size limits, daily takes and no fish zones. Over the past 2 years me and my partner have made the commitment to no longer buy fish so we only eat the fish catch. Spearfishing is the most sustainable form of fishing on the planet, it is also the most environmentally friendly form of fishing. Let me know what you think of the video in the comments section.
